Support Assistant for Daily Activities in Skövde
The daily activities program provides employment for individuals with disabilities. In Skövde municipality, we have several different groups for daily activities. We have about 300 participants and around 85 staff members. The program is part of the care and support sector in Skövde municipality.
The care and support sector has an important societal mission. We work with support, service, care, and assistance for people of all ages, and our operations are characterized by professionalism and human values.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for someone who wants a rewarding and developing job. In the role of support assistant within daily activities, you contribute to ensuring that our participants have meaningful employment. Based on individual needs, you support and guide individuals with disabilities in their daily activities. You plan the work, provide support, and ensure that participants feel secure. You also assist participants in their social interactions.
You work to help our participants achieve the highest possible quality of life in their daily lives. Based on individual needs and wishes, you support our participants in their daily, everyday work in their activities. With us, the participant is in focus, and the role includes being practical and everyday support. In a pedagogical manner, you stimulate and motivate the individual towards participation and an independent life.
We are now looking for an employee for the Eskobar unit. The participants in this unit require a clear structure and a predictable environment. They need communication through various forms of visual support and a low-arousal approach. The unit has a high staff density in relation to the number of participants.
Your tasks also include assisting with medication distribution, handling physical and digital aids, and performing delegated and prescribed healthcare interventions according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL).
Your knowledge and experience are valuable, so it is part of your role to contribute to the development of our common working methods.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a high school education and passing grades from the health and care program or the child and leisure program, or another equivalent education. It is a plus if you have knowledge of conversation methods such as social stories or drawing talk. Experience with clear pedagogical methods, low-arousal approaches, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) is desirable.
As a person, you are calm and secure and have a respectful, good, and adapted approach. To succeed in this role, we see that you have good collaboration skills, are solution-focused, and can easily adapt to new conditions. To thrive in this role, we believe you have the ability to take personal responsibility in your professional role, are proactive, and are used to working independently.
In this role, it is important that you can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish, as you and the participant need to understand each other, but also to carry out documentation. You have computer skills and preferably experience with social documentation.
We see that you are a person who has a good ability to work independently and drive processes forward. You collaborate well with colleagues in different functions nearby. You thrive best in close work with participants while being comfortable with administrative tasks.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. A B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle is required as travel is involved in the job.
Upon employment, a police record extract must be presented during the recruitment period.
